Our Saturday morning Juniors competition came to a conclusion over the weekend, with Neymar Ninjas crowned champions after a comprehensive 8-3 win over Real Madrid in the Grand Final. Both Matthew Nicholson and Raglan Ziolkowski bagged hat-tricks for the Ninjas to cap a strong all-around performance. The pick of the goals, however, was this strike by Madrid’s Alex Harvey – a brilliant effort from range Alex! All the goals from this match can be viewed here.
The irrepressible Fin Foxcroft of West End Warriors came away with the competition’s Golden Boot award, amassing a huge tally of 39 goals for the season – an even more remarkable effort considering that West End Warriors finished in fourth place on the ladder. Congratulations Fin – keep banging ’em in!
We’d like to thank all of our Junior players and their parents for contributing to a great season of Futsal. We saw a number of players display considerable improvement, not only in terms of individual ability, but also of teamwork and tactical knowledge. There are without doubt some stars in the making amongst this group!
