GRAND FINALS
STGW and Exeter Quickly will contest the Grand Final of Elite Premier Futsal next week, after they beat Cheetahs and Saints in their respective semi-finals on Monday night.
Elite Premier Futsal will welcome promoted side Berocca Juniors next season after they won their Yeronga Futsal League 1 Grand Final against Our Mums 4-3 in a close game. Dinamo had a comfortable 9-4 win over Hawkies in the third place playoff. Berocca Juniors’ Alex Mason claimed the Golden Boot with 17 goals across the season.
In Camp Hill Futsal League 2, Show Me Da Mane were crowned Champions after they defeated Game of Throw Ins 10-1 in the decider. Despite just creeping into the finals series in fourth place, the boys peaked at the right time and were deserved Grand Final winners.
In the Somerville Futsal League 2 Grand Final, Q G C edged Kings of Brisbane 3-2 in a tight contest. Q G C were deserved Champions having dominated the division over the course of the season.
Well done to all teams across our Monday Futsal League divisions. The upcoming season promises to be full of intrigue as newly-promoted and relegated teams enter the mix.
In the Thursday Men’s Grand Final, Tough but fair ran out 8-4 winners against Unathletico Madrid. The two teams traded goals until a strong second-half showing by Tough but fair decided the game. The new season of Thursday Men’s starts tomorrow night.
MONDAY, TUESDAY & THURSDAY MIXED
Prestige Worldwide top the La Macelleria Monday Mixed Div. 1 table with a 4-1 record. GOLAZOS are a point behind in second, with Norfolk & Chance third. Wombats are yet to open their account for the season and will be looking for a win next week when they face GOLAZOS.
CF Flamingoes and UNTOUCHABLES are both on 11 points at the top of the Monday Mixed Div. 2 table, with Good Hard D just three points off the pace. Lads FC are a further four points behind, followed by Who is IN.
In Grill’d Tuesday Div. 1, Paddington Pansies have opened up a seven-point lead over KEMARI as we reach the halfway point of the season. Friend in Cheeses occupy third, with We are on FIRE in fourth.
In Div. 2, GYPSIES have continued their strong form and top the table ahead of LOCO. Love Muffins and Damaged Goods complete the top four places.
Div. 3 sees All Gear No Idea defy their title to occupy first place, ahead of Quick Response, A Bunch of Nerds and CNS FC. Last-place Mavericks Mixed play the league leaders in next week’s double points clash.
And in Thursday Mixed, Nankatsu FC have continued their strong form and top the leaderboard ahead of Love Muffins V2. Straight off the couch are third, with 1:100 fourth.
WEDNESDAY MEN’S
A shortened Camp Hill Wednesday Men’s season concludes tonight with Therapist Soccer Team taking on Futsal FC in the decider. Dynamo Chicken Kiev will play Lock Stock and Two Smoking Carrolls for third.
With the finals just around the corner in West End Wednesday Men’s, Dr. Waters Redux hold a three-point advantage over Soton express at the pointy end of the table. Only two points separate the next four teams; with BEROCCA JUNIORS, Chicken Tikka No Salahs, 9mm FC and Rumando all in the top-four mix.
JUNIOR LEAGUES
In West End Saturday Juniors, Inner City Strikers have proved unstoppable so far, winning all 11 of their matches to date. Cooper Palm tops the Golden Boot standings with a whopping 30 goals for the season.
Second-place Pears have also had a strong season, followed by Cobras and Indi Futsal Stars. Virginia United can count themselves unlucky to be in fifth despite playing some excellent Futsal throughout the season.
In our Mansfield Junior League, Wildcats FC top the table with seven wins from seven. Immortals are six points adrift in second place, followed by veterans Neymar Ninjas and West End Warriors. Well done to all junior teams across our West End and Mansfield leagues so far for playing exciting Futsal in the right spirit.
